If there’s anything I’ve learned more in the past four months- it’s 2 things.
One: Your children will be WILDLY DIFFERENT. The baby products that you swore by with the first, will likely change entirely for baby number 2!
And second, raising a toddler- who is especially opinionated, while also learning and caring for a newborn is no easy task.
Which is why I have created a simple list of essential baby products that made our days go a little bit smoother!
While some may have a differing opinion on certain products- these are what work for us and what I appreciate most while living these everyday mom life days.
If you are more of a video person- here’s the TikTok with a quick run through below! If you’re here for reading and links- keep scrolling!

First on the List of Baby Products:

I have 3 carriers that I rotate between. Depending on the activity and what stage baby was in but seriously. I’m not joking I think I have had this dude in a wrap or carrier for 70-80% of his short lifespan. We love our Moby Wrap- it’s perfect for when buddy is fussy and needs a little help to nap and I have one hundred other things to do!

Second, but still just as important:

Seriously- when we made the switch to formula because of some major discomfort because of my milk (not sure what from my diet was causing it) I can’t even tell you how nice it was to make a bottle one handed. Push a button- and bam. Bottle is ready!!! This has been a life saver while I prepare dinner, and have 0 hands while I help the toddler, try to possibly feed myself and OPE- he’s hungry. Quick!! (Did I just call myself out for being a Michigander? Oops!) All joking aside- this thing is incredible. There’s different settings for temperatures, you can specify what formula you’re using so the machine mixes properly, it has a spout that easily pops off for daily cleaning, and it’s so simple to take apart for the weekly deep clean! If you’re a formula family- it’s an incredible help.
Third, Wildly helpful: Boppy Newborn Lounger

While it may just look like a pillow- and it definitely is- this was his favorite way to just chill. No matter if I was folding laundry or we were just hanging out watching a movie with sister before bedtime, this pillow saved the day. We didn’t use for sleep, and baby wasn’t rolling yet! Not a long term baby product, but definitely a helpful one for a short time.

It’s a splurge- but can often be found on sale on every so often, usually Amazon, which is a huge help when you utilize the Amazon Baby Registry. We seriously love ours and I’m not sure how we would have survived those first few months cluster feeds and late night nursing sessions. Even now when we have had the one night away for my birthday- the bassinet easily packed up and traveled over with baby to aunties house!
