Updating our kitchen has been an ongoing project since the start: I’m happy to announce the next project has been completed! And it might have been our most simple, but impactful one yet!! We’ve been looking for a way to brighten our kitchen, it’s the main room in our home and connects both our living spaces. Adding under cabinet lighting was exactly the update our kitchen needed!
Picking the Correct Under Cabinet Lighting:
We picked up ProLink Lighting from our Local Home Depot & got busy installing as soon as we got home!
Overall the project took about 2 hours, including the product shopping in store!
What you’ll need to prepare:
- We cleared counters of most everything to have an open work space
- Measure (and measure again) to ensure you know what products you’ll need to brighten your space!
- Heavy Duty Double Sided Adhesive
- ProLink Puck Lights & Lighting Fixtures to fit your space.
In our case we used 1 (5 pack) Puck lights and 3 (18in) Lighting Fixtures!
Be mindful if you’re looking to use the Plug-In versions like we used, or the Direct Wire versions that will wire with your kitchen’s electrical!
Our Project
In our case we used 1 (5 pack) Puck lights and 3 (18in) Lighting Fixtures!
We chose to install the ProLink motion activated power switch, another easy connection to the line of lights & double sided adhesive to the cabinets!
Our kitchen has two sides, and we chose the 18in light fixture for all three sets of stand alone cabinets. Installation of the 18 in light fixtures was almost easier than the puck lights because it was one piece to adhesive and place!
Quick switch to the bright white lighting option (all ProLink lights mentioned in our DIY have 3 light options depending on warm to cool setting based on your preference!) and plug in and done!
I’m not sure we’ve had a quicker DIY or one that made such an incredible difference!
